The Wedding Trees

Allegra and Alessandro arrive in America from their small village in Italy. They carry with them a box of linden tree seeds, a wedding gift from Allegra's grandmother. Nonna Caterina had said, "You will have your own house one day, and when you do, plant them just beyond the front door." But when will they find their own place in this new land?

Allegra's story is an immigrant's tale of love, perseverance, tradition, and remembrance.
